We're back at the Drake with another fun poetry slam, this time featuring national champ Ifrah Hussein!
About the feature poet: Ifrah Hussein is a Somali-Canadian award-winning poet and author of "An Anthology of Grief or the ways a Somali Woman Loves". Ifrah has recently been nominated for an Artist of the Year award and is also the 2017 Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Champion, making her the first woman to have won the national title. Ifrah has ranked in the top 5 of 96 poets at the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam in Texas, also making her the only Canadian to compete on finals stage in its 10-year history. Ifrah was also among the top 4 countries at the Poetry World Cup in Paris, France and has since taken her poetry to a number of countries.
