FYI: THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
With Finals behind us, it's time to get the 2020 regular season going!
Our season opener features a poet unlike anything you've heard or seen before - C-Command!
About our feature poet: C-Command is a rapper, spoken word artist, and musician from Mississauga. Seven years ago he experienced freestyle rapping in a lucid dream, and since then has been seeking language flow consciousness mysteries. He has just returned to Canada from 3 years living in India, teaching English and studying the fascinating rhythmic complexity of Indian Classical music. His own dense rhythms and funny wordplay seek to capture the joyous momentum of a mind moving, discovering, and making sense of things. In 2013 he placed 2nd at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Championship in Vancouver. Most recently he performed his dance-celebration poem at the Finals Showcase at CFSW 2019 in Guelph.
He also has a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University (2012), and is currently taking a few psychology courses to go back to school to pursue Music Therapy. He is delighted to be sharing his work/play with the TPS community!
